Trip to the Dáil and Trip to the European Parliament are currently being planned for some time in 2025.

A variety of activities are available in our towns and villages such as Keep Fit Classes, Aqua Aerobics, Chair Yoga, Yogalates & Pilates classes.

e.g. Thurles Leisure Centre over 55 Keep Fit. Tuesday, Thursday And Friday @ 10am. €3.00 per session.

Walking Groups like Mid Tipperary Hill Walkers and Súil Eile offer lots of opportunities to people to walk and socialise and meet others.

Book Clubs and craft circles are available at most of our local libraries.

Hi All, 

Below is a summary of Tipperary Branch activities over the next few months:

Visit to Loughmore – 18th April 11am.

Jimmy Duggan will lead us around Loughmore. Refreshments afterwards in The Cottage Loughmore.

Spring Break 28th April – 1st May.

Falls Hotel Ennistymon. For those going Mary Shelly Fogarty will take care of ye.

Welcome Drink in the Falls on Sunday night.

 

Visit to Clonmel Army Barracks – 15th May 2pm.

Pat O’Brien will give this tour followed by refreshments in Minella

 

Visit to Cloughjordan – 11th June 11am.

Thomas McDonagh Museum, Eco village and refreshments in local cafe

 

RTAI National Golf Classic – 17th June.

Held in Mullingar Golf Club (further details later).

Tipperary RTAI Spring Midweek Break

Tipperary RTAI Spring outing to the Falls Hotel Ennistymon Co.Clare 28th April – 1st May 2024

DETAILS:

Members must book direct with the hotel 065-7071004  between 9.00am-5.00pm Monday-Friday by  by 29th March 2024. Rooms are provisionally booked for us.

Rate:

€300 per person sharing, includes 3 nights Dinner Bed & full Irish Breakfast.

€300 per person in Single occupancy, includes 3 nights dinner bed & breakfast.

Rate Includes:

3 nights accommodation with full irish breakfast and 3 course table d’Hote dinner each evening.

Tea/Coffee and scones on arrival.

Free use of leisure facilities.

Spa bookings can either be made in advance or while at hotel.

Aqua aerobics on Monday & Tuesday morning.

Music each night in the Dylan Thomas Bar.

Walking  Tour of area organised by Tipperary RTAI

We wish Mary Horan who has stepped down as Chairperson continued health and happiness and thank her for all her hard work as chairperson over the last 9 years.

The Branch Byelaws were discussed and ratified and sent to the N.E.C. for approval.

At the meeting the proposed calendar of events for the new year was discussed.

Please keep this calendar in a safe place. The calendar of activities will also be posted on the Branch Page of the RTAI website with regular updates added.

Tipperary RTAI trip to Seville. 3^rd-6^th March

The Hotel is 4-star Sevilla Center for 3 nights Bed and breakfast.

Outbound Flight: Ryanair Dublin at 12:00-15:55 Sunday the 3^rd of March.

Return Flight: Ryanair Seville 15:00- 16:55 Wed, 6 Mar 2024.

Double/Two sharing: €329* per person

Three sharing: €357* per person

Single: €504* per person

This is the basic lead in price as discussed with Alan from Click&Go.

Prices may vary due to airline prices fluctuating. I will forward Click&Go emails to you shortly.

Annual Convention and AGM 2023

• Dublin: Croke Park Conference Centre 12^th March 2024.

Tipperary RTAI will be represented by branch officers.

Midweek Break

• Tipperary RTAI are planning a Midweek Ireland Holiday break in May.

Details are to be confirmed.

 June

• RTAI National Golf Classic 2024, Mullingar Golf Club, Monday June the 17^th.

4 members will represent branch at the Classic.

Names must be given to Lucy if you are interested in going.

 

Summer Meeting and Lunch

• Our summer meeting and lunch will take place in the Anner Hotel Thurles (date to be confirmed).

Other Proposed Events which will take place between February and June (dates TBC):

• A Wellness Event in North Tipperary
• A historical visit to Loughmore with a visit to the tea-rooms
• A visit to Cloughjordan Eco Village and the Thomas McDonagh Museum
• A visit to Liathmore Church.
• A visit to Clonmel Army Campus.

Meet up.

• Following the success of all our activities I would Love if we could set up a system where we could meet up for tea/coffee for a chat once a month in different towns in the county.
• g. Clonmel in the Talbot on the 2nd Tuesday every month at 11am
  Nenagh in the Abbey Court on the 3rd Wednesday every month a t 3pm.
• I would send out a message to all members but would not accept replies. Members would pay for their own refreshments. It wouldn’t matter If it was 2 or 20 arrived for the chat. We would need 1 or 2 volunteers in each town to lead these get togethers. Contact Lucy if you would like to help organise.
