Following a number of queries from members over the last week, RTAI contacted the VHI about no deduction, or one for a few cent only, taken on the Jan 2nd pay-date.
Please note, confirmation was received from VHI on Jan 7th to advise members the last payroll deduction for the year 2024 was on19/12/2024. This meant, in most cases, there were no deductions on the 02/01/2025.
VHI deductions from pension are made fortnightly, therefore, the first of 26 deductions fortnightly for your cover from 01/01/2025 will be made on 16/01/2025.
