Pensions to Increase in October

INTO has confirmed the revised salary scales agreed in Building Momentum will be published shortly by the Department of Education (DE). These scales will include the increase of 1.5% from 1^st October 2023.

As retired teachers continue to retain the principle of parity, where pensions increase in line with the uplifts agreed for working teachers, this increase will apply to all retired teachers with effect from the same date. Members should see this uplift in the first full pension payment on October 12^th. Members should also take this opportunity to inspect their pension payslips to ensure all payments and deductions are correct.
