The Department of Education has issued Circular 0007/23, which outlines the application of a 2% pay increase to the salaries and pensions of all serving and retired teachers from 1 March 2023. This percentage increase was applied to all salary scale points, allowances, part-time hourly rates and daily substitution rates of pay. Sections 14 to 16 of the circular outline the specific arrangements in relation to pensions.
This increase was reflected in the pension issue of 16th March.
